Goals Off Target
Accelerating the Sustainable Development Goals with girls and young women
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were established in 2015. Eight years in, halfway to the 2030 deadline, this report takes a look at how the SDGs are perceived by girls and young women.
Is the focus on gender equality being sustained and is it having a real impact on girls’ lives? At the current rate of progress, will 2030 bring a better life and a better world?
Girls and young women have their say
This report is based on research conducted for the 2023 State of the World’s Girls Report. It contains an analysis of SDG progress towards the goals girls and young women identified as most important to them and includes face to face interviews and focus group discussions with over 250 adolescent girls and young women activists across 26 countries.
