Plan International Ghana

Plan International has been working in Ghana to support children, particularly the most marginalised, to exercise their rights for 30 years.

In implementing our new country strategy, we will now be implementing programmes and influencing in the north, south and middle belt of the country. Our main office provides administrative support from Accra.

We are improving the effectiveness of child sponsorship in the most disadvantaged communities. We are also flexible in mobilising resources through grant funding to reach other marginalised communities, influence national policy makers and traditional influencers to position Plan International Ghana as a truly national organisation.

Our current priorities are:

  • Creating safe communities for children that are free from all forms of violence
  • Ensuring children have the opportunity to learn through our quality, basic, inclusive education programme and youth skills training
  • Supporting families to earn more money and manage it better so their children can thrive.
