Plan International Guatemala

Girls are transforming the world!

We spoke to over 1,000 participants to find out what it’s like to be an adolescent girl or young woman activist leading the fight for equality today.

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

We have worked in Guatemala for over 40 years, in over 608 rural communities in 5 Departments: Jalapa, Quiché, Alta Verapaz, Baja Verapaz and Escuintla.

We won’t stop until we are all equal.
