Plan International El Salvador

We won’t stop until we are all equal

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

For 40 years, we have positively impacted the lives of over 1 million families and have promoted the rights of children, youth and adolescents.

In El Salvador, over one third of the population is under the age of 18. They are often vulnerable and can’t exercise their rights due to high rates of violence.

We work in over 400 communities in the departments of Chalatenango, Cabañas, Cuscatlán, La Libertad and the southern part of San Salvador. Each year we work with more than 365,000 children.

We advance children´s rights and equality for girls in El Salvador
