South-East Asia has a high incidence of disasters caused by natural hazards, which have only intensified over the past 2 decades. As school attendance is high across the region, it is crucial that school safety and resilience to disasters becomes a focus for programming.
This report looks at how Plan International's Safe Schools programme has been implemented in Cambodia, Indonesia and Nepal.
The programme uses knowledge, innovation and education to build a culture of safety and resilience through a range of activities in schools and communities.
