Statement: Temporary ceasefire in Lebanon

Plan International welcomes the temporary ceasefire announcement for Lebanon but this is still not enough.

We continue to call for a permanent lasting ceasefire in Lebanon as well as for a permanent lasting ceasefire in Gaza.

All violations of International Humanitarian Law and grave violations against children must cease immediately.

Humanitarian assistance must be scaled up to meet the immense needs of civilians in the region.
