Plan staff playing therapeutic games with children, Haiti

Children playing therapeutic games in a session run by Plan Haiti staff

The earthquake in Haiti on 12 January killed more than 200,000 people and left scores homeless.

As children and families poured into makeshift camps, Plan staff and volunteers helped to support more than 39,500 people with immediate needs, including shelter and food.

Plan's work has now evolved from emergency response to recovery - focusing on education, health, child protection and livelihoods.

Thanks to our supporters, thousands of children are now safe, healthy and back at school. But much more still needs to be done.
