Transforming Futures report cover.

This storybook, developed as part of Plan International Finland’s My Body My Future 2 Programme, brings together six case studies from Laos, Myanmar, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, highlighting how sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) projects have integrated disability inclusion as a core component while contributing to gender transformative change.

Through participatory and locally led approaches, the stories show how adolescents and young people with disabilities, alongside organisations of persons with disabilities, have taken the lead in shaping project strategies, challenging barriers, and creating lasting change in their communities. They offer insight into real life experiences across diverse contexts, in classrooms, clinics, homes, and community spaces, demonstrating what disability inclusive and rights based transformation looks like in practice.

These stories are not just accounts of work completed; they showcase meaningful impact and stand as a bold testament to the transformative power of centring those most excluded, proving that disability inclusion and gender transformative approaches are not optional, but essential, for real and lasting change.
