Attacks against children and all civilians in Gaza must end
18 March 2025Plan International is horrified by the return to hostilities in Gaza with Israeli airstrikes overnight that have killed at least 300 people, many of them children and women. This was a blatant indiscriminate attack against civilians.
Israeli airstrikes on Gaza directly threaten the lives of Palestinian civilians as well as civilian hostages.
Dr Unni Krishnan, Global Humanitarian Director for Plan International said: “We condemn this renewed attack by the Israeli military against children and all civilians in Gaza. Children in Gaza have already suffered enough – they have endured the loss of their lives, their families, their homes, their schools, their hospitals, their communities and their humanity. Every day is a struggle for survival. This must end.
“We call yet again for respect for International Humanitarian Law, for unhindered access to humanitarian assistance and constructive engagement by all parties leading to a permanent ceasefire now.”
