The “Stories of Hope” presents a collection of success stories highlighting the initiatives and impacts of Plan International Nepal’s Protection, Tracking, Education & Transformation (PROTECT) project, implemented between 2019 and 2023. Launched in 2019 with support from Plan International USA, the PROTECT project was a comprehensive initiative aimed at addressing human trafficking, child trafficking, and unsafe migration.

Implemented across 13 municipalities in the districts of Sunsari, Banke, and Makwanpur, the project adopted a multisectoral approach, engaging various stakeholders like youth, media, local government, teachers, local organisations, community leaders, etc, and working across different layers of the community. The content primarily features observational narratives and interviews with key stakeholders.

For detailed information about the project’s context, objectives, and approaches, please refer to the document provided following the story section. All interviews with survivors were conducted confidentially in safe spaces, with their full consent. Additionally, interviews with minors, including students and youth ambassadors, were carried out with prior written consent.
