Plan International Nepal Country strategy 2023 to 2028

Our new strategy aims to create an inclusive and safe society for girls in Nepal.

Our new strategy for the period of 2023-2028 has set a bold vision of becoming a leading organisation advancing the rights of girls, adolescents and young women in Nepal with the aim of contributing towards an inclusive, just, and safe society for all girls and young women in Nepal.

This strategy was developed through an extensive external review, wider consultation of various stakeholders and the use of 45 years of experience working in Nepal.

During this strategy period, Plan International Nepal will position itself as a leading humanitarian response organisation, with the aim of becoming the first responder during humanitarian crises, dedicated to addressing the pressing needs of vulnerable girls, boys and their communities.

During the next 5 years we will enter new districts where the violations of girls’ rights are severe and will continue to deepen our work to support sponsored and other vulnerable and marginalised children.

Through the strategy, we will impact 700,000 girls, adolescents, and young women directly and 1.5 million indirectly through our programmes on education, skills, protection, youth engagement and sexual reproductive health rights.

Plan International Nepal will work with girls, boys, adolescents, young people, parents, caregivers, guardians, governments, media, and civil society organisations to achieve our vision for the period.
