Girls Out Loud is a safe and supportive online space where girls and young women aged 13 to 24 come together to discuss critical gender issues. Here, we foster open dialogue and personal growth.
Engaging in meaningful conversation
Within our closed Facebook groups, moderated by trained staff, girls can freely ask questions and engage in discussions on topics such as sexual and reproductive health, menstruation, gender violence, and self-confidence.
Girls Out Loud not only encourages discussions within our groups but also empowers our members to express themselves beyond the platform. We inspire girls to challenge the perspectives of family, friends, teachers, and even religious leaders.

Safety is our priority
Ensuring the safety of our community is paramount at Girls Out Loud. Our moderators are here to facilitate discussions, answer questions via messenger, and maintain a safe environment. Selecting the right moderator is key to our success.
Our impact and journey
Girls Out Loud began as an initiative by Plan International Nepal, involving 50 girls from our sponsorship areas. Today, we have grown to include 2000 girls digitally advocating for gender equality.
