Immediate humanitarian assitance

With funding support from donors and under cooperation with our NGO partners, Plan International Cambodia provided immediate humanitarian assistance targeting internally displaced people (IDPs) living in the displacement sites – Siem Reap, Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, Preah Vihear and Battambang.

How we responded

  • Providing critical water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services to prevent disease outbreaks and maintain dignity and hygiene. This included the construction of temporary latrines, private bathrooms for girls and females, water filters and water filtration systems and distributing WASH kits.
  • Ensuring continuity of learning and psychosocial support for displaced children within 4 weeks. This included the establishment of child temporary learning classes for pre-school and primary schools.
  • Making things safer for children and vulnerable groups in displacement sittings. This included the establishment of child learning spaces equipped with learning kits and counselling rooms.
