‘Safety for Girls = Safety for Everyone’ is the message that Plan International Vietnam spread at the launch event of the ‘Year of Action for Women and Children’s Safety’, led by Vietnam Central Women’s Union.
Among those in attendance at the launch of the Year of Action for Women and Children’s Safety on 6 March 2019 was Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and other Senior Leaders of Vietnam. They were joined by several organisations working towards women’s and children’s rights such as Plan International Vietnam.
As a leading girls’ rights organisation, Plan International collaborated with students from the Champions of Change club and the University of Communications and Transport to join the activities and promote messages around the importance of gender equality.
Our key message at the event was ‘Safety for Girls = Safety for Everyone’. From April 2019, 8 buses carrying the same message will promote our call as they follow their routes around Hanoi.
