"The future I want is one where education comes above all."
Twenty-two-year-old Aseel from Jordan wants education that prioritises student needs for the 21st century, otherwise those most vulnerable will be left behind.
Plan International began operating in Jordan in 2016 to address the biggest inequalities and violations of children’s rights.
With a huge number of people forced to flee conflict and live far from home across the Middle East, gender inequality, abuse, child labour and a lack of education have become rife and the international response has struggled to keep up.
By focusing on the key issues faced by the most vulnerable children, especially girls, among refugee and host communities, we are working where we are needed most and can have the biggest impact.
Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners,
we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges
girls and vulnerable children face.
We won’t stop until we are all equal.
Our current priorities include:
Building #2, Dawoud Al Sajastani,
3rd, 4th and 5th Floors – Shmeisani
Amman, Jordan
