Meet the team of the Plan International EU Office.
Avana Amadei
Partnership Assistant
Avana joined the Plan International EU team as a Partnership Assistant in January 2024, supporting the organisation’s work with the European Commission DG INTPA portfolio.
She completed the Joint Master’s Degree Programme in International Humanitarian Action (NOHA), specialising in women’s protection in Spain and in social work with refugees and migrants in Jordan – a double interest which culminated with a thesis on menstrual health management during displacement. Before joining the Plan International EU team in Brussels, Avana worked for a year for SOS MEDITERRANEE Italia, coordinating volunteers and planning awareness raising activities about search and rescue in the Mediterranean.
Avana has been a scout her whole life and an active volunteer in several organisations. She studied and worked in several countries across the world, and she is now ready to contribute to Plan International’s work with her determination and her passion.
