Currently, an estimated 113 million people in 15 African countries require urgent humanitarian assistance.

Those living in fragile and conflict-affected contexts are at heightened risk, particularly across West, South and East Africa.

The Joining Forces Alliance in Africa believes that famine and malnutrition are preventable and have no place in the 21st century.

This policy brief sets out the scale of the issue across the continent and provides policy recommendations and calls to action on how to create positive change.
