Communications and Campaigns Coordinator


Petros joined the team of Plan International EU Office in February 2021 and is responsible for the office’s communications and campaign activities in the EU space. As part of the influencing team, he works with his advocacy and communications colleagues to find the most impactful ways to bring girls’ voice to the EU institutions and to advance girls’ rights and gender equality within the EU external action policy. Simply put, he makes sure the office’s mission translates into a clear message adapted to the right audience.

Prior to joining Plan International, Petros worked in communications on European affairs for over 6 years with experience in non-profit, corporate and institutional settings. His previous role was within the European Commission Directorate General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in European and International Studies from the University of Macedonia in Greece, and a Master’s degree in European Affairs with a specialization in European History, Diversity and Culture from KU Leuven in Belgium. He is also an active volunteer in Brussels, primarily involved in organisations that support homeless people, refugees and migrants access food and other basic services.
