The "Stronger Together" project, funded by DG ECHO, provides a range of programs for children, adolescents, parents, and the community. These initiatives aim to cultivate skills, support, and community-led efforts in health, education, and protection.
Plan International is working in Jordan to help address the biggest inequalities and violations of children’s rights. With a large number of people forced to flee conflict and live far from their homes across the Middle East, gender inequality, abuse, child labour and a lack of education have become rife and the international response has struggled to keep up. By focusing on the key issues faced by the most vulnerable children, especially girls, among refugee and host communities, we are working where we are needed most and can have the biggest impact. Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and children in vulnerable situations face.
Within this framework, Plan International works with Syrian refugees in the Azraq Camp, Jordan, focusing on helping children empowerment, especially girls, through education, psychosocial support, youth empowerment initiatives, and child protection. The “Stronger Together” project, funded by DG ECHO, provides a range of programmes for children, adolescents, parents, and the community. These initiatives aim to cultivate skills, support, and community-led efforts in health, education, and protection.
The project is funded by the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), European Commission.
