Communications and Media Manager
Before joining Plan International, Kel served as Communications and Events Manager at the European Policy Centre, an independent, not-for-profit think tank in Brussels dedicated to fostering European integration through analysis and open debate. In this role, she supported the centre’s mission to inform and shape EU policy discussions by managing high-level events and strategic communications.
She also spent over three years as Communications Officer at the Green European Foundation, a European political foundation that works to promote progressive ideas and solutions for a fairer, more sustainable, and more democratic Europe. There, Kel led initiatives to amplify the foundation’s work across the continent and engage diverse audiences in meaningful dialogue on green and social issues.
Her communications career began in the UK with roles at Latin News Intelligent Research, Inclusive Companies, and KVH News, before she launched into EU affairs as a Schuman Trainee at the European Parliament’s DG EXPO. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and International Economic Affairs and a master’s degree in Communication and Politics.
Originally from Spain, Kel has lived in four countries. She is fluent in Spanish, English, French. Beyond her professional pursuits, Kel is also passionate about theatre and outdoor activities such as hiking and climbing.
