Senior Operations Officer
Elena joined Plan International EU Liaison Office in October 2024 as a Senior Operations Officer. She is responsible for managing the variety of critical operations tasks including governance, human resources, financial management and reporting , office management and administration. Her role also includes coordination of safeguarding for the EU Liaison Office team.
Elena holds an Advanced Master’s Degree in European Studies from KU Leuven with a focus on International Relations and Development Cooperation Policy of the EU. She has over 15 years of professional experience in Operations, Financial and Administrative roles working in Non-Governmental and International Organizations as well as with the European Union Institutions and several Representations of the Member States before the EU, both in Brussels and in Paris.
Elena is a passionate advocate of equality and inclusive education for persons with disabilities and she is enthusiastic about applying her knowledge to support Plan International EU Liaison Office’s daily activities.
