Education in Sudan

We support vulnerable children, especially girls and young women, to complete a quality, inclusive education both in formal and non-formal settings so they have the knowledge to succeed in life.

Girls at school in Sudan

We are committed to building the capacity of schools, teachers, communities and parents to improve the quality of education that also promotes safety and gender equality.

As part of our work we promote changes in attitudes and behaviours towards girls from community members and influence the government to increase its investment in education. We also use evidence from our projects on disaster resilient schools and girls’ education to advocate for improved education strategies.

This work will enable children, particularly girls and vulnerable groups such as nomadic communities, to enroll in and complete formal and non-formal education so they have the opportunity to succeed in life.
