Leaflet explaining our research on the experiences of children from Ukraine living with disability in Poland

Many children from Ukraine in Poland are living with a disability. Disabilities can include physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments.

For many children and families, the experience of conflict and displacement has interacted with existing disabilities, resulting in additional challenges.

Our research focused on children under 6, and found that challenges for children and their families include language barriers, lack of information and lengthy administrative procedures. Many children have difficulty finding appropriate education centres or specialist support. You can download our eight-page leaflet highlighting some of the key issues, findings and recommendations for donors, NGOs and the Polish government.
