More girls in tech
Country Director, Plan International Nigeria, Mr. Charles Usie, who was represented by Communications Advisor, Yunus Abdulhamid, called for more girls’ participation in information and communication technology (ICT) careers to boost a more dynamic technology sector and enhance innovation and productivity.
He said the programme was to help stimulate conversation among girls in ICT. “For us as a country to advance in what we do, we need more participation of girls in ICT in our world today,” he said.
The top 3 schools in both categories were rewarded with a 6 month ICT mentorship with TechHer, a partner organisation of Plan International that promotes girls and women in the technology sector.
