From a shy girl to the voice of youth in West and Central Africa
Beltivate is a familiar face in the child-friendly spaces where she coaches young people on girls' rights, amplifying girls' voices across the region.
Since 1996, Plan International Cameroon has worked together with children, young people, supporters and partners to strive for a just world, where we are all equal. To do that we tackle the root causes of the challenges and inequalities that children and young girls face.
We work with over 1,200 communities in the Centre, North-West, East, Adamawa, North, Far-North and Littoral regions of Cameroon.
Often in difficult circumstances, such as the current Lake Chad Crisis, our programmes and activities bring engaging and uplifting solutions to the issues faced by children and young people, particularly those who are most excluded.
We strive for lasting and large-scale impact to ensure children, young people and their communities have access to protection, quality, inclusive education, health information and services, and decent work and entrepreneurship opportunities.
