Plan Haiti

Plan has been working in Haiti since 1973 to help children and communities through development programs, child protection initiatives and projects to end poverty and lack of education.

All our work is aimed to supporting Haitian authorities to ensure that children and young people in Haiti as well as their families can fully enjoy their fundamental rights for a healthy and successful start in life.

We ensure communities to participate in decisions and to develop their skills and abilities so they can become active citizens and make real changes in their country.

Where we work in Haiti

In partnership with communities, Plan Haiti addresses the principal obstacles, which have been jointly identified:

  • extreme poverty
  • violence
  • maternal mortality
  • water and sanitation
  • health
  • deficient education
  • disaster risks
