Bolaji Akinboro, Plan's Country Director in Malawi

Country Director, Bolaji Akinboro

Bolaji Akinboro joined Plan in 2007 after gaining significant experience in the education, telecoms, consumer goods and health industries.

Previously, he worked at the African Virtual University (AVU) for 6 years where he was the founding executive in charge of strategy, resource mobilisation,  partnerships and programme architecture.

Bolaji holds a degree in pharmacy and a post graduate certificate in business management. He has worked in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and Tanzania - and in all these countries has helped to bring positive change through development and economic empowerment initiatives. 

Since joining Plan, Bolaji has been greatly impressed by how much Plan is doing to lift people living below 1 dollar a day out of poverty.
