Country Director, Fadimata Alainchar
Fadimata Alainchar has dedicated her career to development work, focusing primarily on child education, protection and gender.She joined Plan in 1994 to implement non-formal education for out of school children in Mali and later became regional learning advisor for West Africa.
In 2004 Fadimata moved to Niger as programme support manager where she introduced the village savings and loans (VS&L) approach to Plan in West Africa for the first time.
From Niger, Fadimata joined Sierra Leone as country director where she pioneered the youth VS&L programme before becoming country director of Guinea Bissau in 2010.
Fadimata holds a diploma from the Pedagogic Institute for General Education and was a teacher for basic education before obtaining a master’s degree at Ecole Normale Superieure de Bamako.
