366 youth graduate from Digital Skills for Youth Project
27 June 2025A significant milestone was achieved by the Digital Skills for Youth Project, as 366 young people, comprising 255 females and 111 males, graduated from the Basic and Intermediate classes.

A graduation ceremony was held to celebrate and congratulate the 366 young people as they graduated from the Digital Skills for Youth Project.
Using digital skills in the future
One of the project participants, Shelton, expressed his excitement about the opportunities that lie ahead. “I am now equipped to pursue exciting opportunities in the digital realm, and I am filled with excitement for the future,” he said. “My journey is a testament to the power of education and the importance of investing in youth development.”
Shelton added that he is committed to using his skills to make a positive impact in his community and beyond. He also expressed his eagerness to join the advanced level of the project, to learn more cutting-edge techniques and insights in digital marketing trends and analytics.
Project goals and objectives
The Digital Skills for Youth Project seeks to create opportunities for young people, especially young women, to earn an income and strengthen their economic decision-making and will continue to train young people in digital skills. The project aims to empower 1,680 youth, with a particular emphasis on young women (60%), with digital skills that will enable them to leverage Information and Communication Technologies and make them competitive enough to qualify for jobs in traditional and emerging sectors.
Additionally, the project will indirectly benefit 3,000 young people with business/entrepreneurship and soft skills through mobile/roving workshops. By working with government and private sector at national and local levels, the project aims to create a pool of digitally skilled youth who can drive economic growth and development and have a positive impact on the Zimbabwe’s economic development.
