About us

Plan International Region of the Middle East, Eastern and Southern Africa (MEESA)

Here’s how we work in the region to help create a world where we are all equal.

How we raise and invest funds

Our vision and life-changing work in the region to advance children’s rights and equality for girls has remained possible thanks to our many supporters and partners, both individual, corporate and institutional. Without that support and combined expertise, we would be unable to support lasting changes for children and communities.

Our approach

All our Country Offices as well as the Regional Hub incorporate partnerships as the main delivery approach for programmes and influencing work at local, national and regional levels. We work with national civil societies, community-based organisations and government agencies.

Where we work

We work in 17 countries to respond to key challenges facing children, especially girls, and young people in the region.
