Plan International Thailand

Plan International has been working in Thailand since 1981. We work together with children, communities, civil society and the government to strive for a just world where we are all equal.

Much of Thailand is well developed, however, there are a number of marginalised groups such as children of migrant workers and stateless people who our work is focused on.

We work predominantly in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai and Mae Sot, however, we also work in the greater Bangkok area and in the south eastern part of Thailand.

We won’t stop until we are all equal.

Our key areas of work include:

  • Gender justice and women’s empowerment: Strengthening the participation and leadership capacity of girls and women so they can make informed decisions about their lives and reach their potential.
  • Children on the move: Ensuring migrant children can exercise their rights to education, health care and protection.
  • Legal status and citizenship: Helping stateless people, particularly girls, to exercise their rights and access services so they can live a better quality of life.
