Plan Dominican Republic

With over 75 years experience, Plan is one of the most recognized in the promotion of child rights international organizations. Our vision is of a world in which children and young people to achieve their full potential in societies that respect the rights and dignity of people.

We are present in Dominican Republic since 1987 working in several of the country's poorest areas. We apply a community development approach focused on children, which involves direct collaboration with communities to organize and participate actively in improving the lives of girls and boys.

Our goal is to impact many more children and communities in the future, making a lasting change in their lives.

Currently, Plan Dominican Republic works with over 25,000 children in 149 communities in six provinces in the west of the country, through projects that seek to improve their quality of life.

Plan Dominican Republic has a main office in Santo Domingo and units Programmes and Support Offices in the cities of Azua, Barahona, San Juan, Elías Piña, Pedernales and from which the implementation of programs and projects developed in the communities, promoting the rights of children and improving their quality of life.
