Plan International has been working in Senegal since 1982. We work together with children, young people, supporters and partners to strive for a just world, where we are all equal.
We tackle the root causes of the challenges and inequalities that children and young girls face, supporting them to make positive changes in their lives and communities, driving changes in practice and policy using our reach, experience and knowledge.
We won’t stop until we are all equal.
Our projects focus on several areas:
- Protecting children, especially girls, from violence, including during emergencies.
- Improving health services and child nutrition.
- Providing children with access to quality, inclusive education, including during emergencies.
- Supporting young people to gain key skills and get good jobs.
- Working to end harmful practices such as child, early and forced marriage.
