Plan International Myanmar is seeking a qualified WASH Project Manager who will serve for WASH interventions to promote child health, growth and development. The position is based in Nyaung U Township, Mandalay Region and will require frequent travel to the project area.
Report to: Programme Unit Manager
Assignment Type: Three month probation and three years contract

Job Purpose: The WASH project manager will be expected with consistent support from WASH Programme Manager and Programme Unit Manager to lead on implementation of WASH project • Build the capacity of the partner and community volunteers as required • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the project and activities by the partner such as: well or water distribution tank construction and hygiene activities in schools or communities, • Work closely with M&E officer for ensure data analysis and documented • Liaison with the Local Authorities and Community Leaders regarding project issues • Development of detailed implementation schedule at field level together with the implementing partner and other sectors (Livelihood, Child Development) • Activity progress reporting to the Field Office Manager and in technical collaboration with the WASH Programme Manager from Yangon • Ensure reporting and project related donor requirements are timely and of a high quality. In addition, the WASH project manager will require frequent visit to project area.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Citizen of Myanmar • Bachelor of Nursing or other field preferred and Master Degree in Publish Health preferred. Minimum five years of demonstrated professional experience in WASH sector • Knowledge on WASH concepts and standards • Knowledge on PHAST, CLTS and participatory methodologies • Extensive experience assessing, building capacity, monitoring and cooperating with local NGOs • Good knowledge of community development in Myanmar • Experience in implementing donor-funded projects • Track record of participation, training, facilitation and awareness raising • Experience of working with children and communities is an advantage • Good English language skills, both oral and written • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment • Strong team-building and facilitation skills • Excellent communication skills • Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel).
