Our work with refugees and internally displaced people: case studies
Plan International currently works with refugees in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and in the Middle East, focusing on the rights of children. Our work centres mainly on education and child protection and we pay specific attention to the rights of adolescent girls and to early childhood care and development.
These case studies show the range and focus of our work with refugees in each country. They also reveal the impact of our work through the voices of refugees themselves.
The responses in this report include our work with:
- Nigerian refugees in Cameroon
- Syrian refugees in Egypt
- South Sudanese refugees and internally displaced people in South Sudan, Ethiopia and Uganda
- Burundian refugees in Tanzania and Rwanda
- Internally displaced people in Sudan, Colombia, Myanmar, Mali and the Central African Republic
