Position: Project Coordinator (Education in Emergencies)
Report to: Project Manager
Assignment Type: Six months contract with possibility of renewal

Job background: The Education in Emergency Coordinator (EiE Coordinator) will be responsible for the quality implementation of EiE activities in Rakhine. The EiE Coordinator will work closely with Project Manager and make sure EiE Officers lead field implementation of EiE related activities effectively. He/she has to work with other team members in order to provide conflict sensitive and harmonized implementation in Rakhine. Other aspects of the role include assessment, design and planning, result based M&E and representation at regional and local level education sector. Implementation of Plan International's programme will be done inclusively through the involvement of community representatives. The EiE Coordinator will manage EiE Officers, provide capacity-building for staff, and ensure the effective inclusion of vulnerable groups at all stages of the project’s implementation. This position is based full-time in Sittwe with 50% field travel.
Job purpose: Develop and maintain proactive, positive and professional relationships with the partner organization, other NGOs, donors, key local officials, education department, and beneficiary • Build and maintain good relationship with Donors and state, township government authorities and attend regular meeting for more collaboration. • Implement project activities in a timely manner ensuring good quality action and credible outcomes • Assist the Project Manager in the development of annual plans and budgets and in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of EiE programmes • Develop and maintain project records such as databases, reports and records of activities • Facilitate learning and knowledge management • Implement the financial and administrative systems necessary for the execution of the project • Supporting the project activities by international education standard and child rights awareness based on the organization’s mandate.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Citizen of Myanmar • Minimum three years of demonstrated professional experience leading and managing major EiE programmes in Myanmar • Extensive experience assessing, building capacity, monitoring and cooperating with partners • Good knowledge of community development in Myanmar and Do No Harm • •Track record of participation, training, facilitation and awareness raising • Experience of working with children and communities is an advantage • Academic degree in relevant area • Good English language skills, both oral and written • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment • Strong team-building and facilitation skills • Excellent communication skills • Proficient in computer skills.
