VACANCIES UNDER THE MARAWI DISPLACEMENT RESPONSE

 1. JOB TITLE: Finance Officer

Program/Department: Marawi Displacement Response
Duration: 11 months
Location: Iligan City, Lanao del Norte
Application Deadline: March 27, 2018 

Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews and signs off on budget availability
  2. Monitors and updates budget and expenditure
  3. Reviews individual acknowledgement receipt of items/goods received
  4. Identifies weaknesses and gaps in internal control

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  1. University graduate in Accounting or Business Administration
  2. Relevant training on computer operations and financial management
  3. Has a minimum of three years' work experience in the areas of accounting or business administration

2. JOB TITLE: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Program/Department: Marawi Displacement Response
Duration: 5 months
Location: Iligan City, Lanao del Norte

Responsibilities:

  1. Keeps track of the progress of project implementation (work and financial plan) of the project.
  2. Facilitates participatory program review with staff and partners
  3. Prepares progress reports and provides analysis for informed decisions
  4. Assists  in the development and maintenance of the database of relevant data about the communities and partners

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  1. University graduate in Social Science, Statistics, Community Research, any related courses.
  2. Relevant training on project management, participatory research and monitoring & evaluation methods, and/or project proposal development.
  3. Has a minimum of five years' work experience in development work.
  4. Has at least three years' experience in conducting research, planning, developing and managing community development work related projects.

VACANY UNDER YOUTH VISION & SOLUTIONS FOR CLIMATE CHANGE

3. JOB TITLE: RESILIENCE SPECIALIST

Program/Department: Youth Vision & Solutions for Climate Project
Duration: 3 years
Location: Makati City
Application Deadline: March 31, 2018 

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify all relevant stakeholders and their potential influence and their expectations.
  2. Facilitate the development of a workable and inclusive project management plan.
  3. Lead in the implementation, and monitoring of the project in all communities covered by the project.
  4. Communicate project status to stakeholders, according to the communication plan.
  5. Implement development education strategies to raise the awareness of the public and relevant bodies about the organization and to secure their active involvement to the causes of the project.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Social Science, Urban Planning, Disaster Risk Management, or other related courses;
  2. Has a minimum of five years’ work experience in program or project management, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  3. Has solid experience in community organizing and development, and in influencing governing bodies and partners.
  4. Specializations in urban programs that involve disaster risk reduction, water sanitation, hygiene, and child protection, is an advantage.
  5. Applicants must be eligible to work in the Philippines. Local applicants are preferred.

VACANCIES UNDER ICOPE PROJECT

4. JOB TITLE: PROJECT COORDINATOR

Program/Department: Integrated and Inclusive Conflict-Sensitive Protection and Education for Children in Mindanao (iCOPE)
Duration: 18 months
Location: Iligan City, Lanao del Norte

Application Deadline: March 27, 2018 

Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate the development and approval of a project management plan.
  2. Allocate needed resources based on approved funding to facilitate project implementation.
  3. Lead the team in the orientation, implementation, and monitoring of the project in all communities covered by the project.
  4. Initiate and participate in the strategic visioning of collaborative efforts among partners and associates.
  5. Responsible for ensuring the project is fully compliant with all donor rules, regulations, and other requirements.
  6. This role will supervise local partners and three direct reports.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Social Science, Urban Planning, Disaster Risk Management or other related courses
  2. Has a minimum of five years’ work experience in program management, demonstrating the ability to manage budgets and programs
  3. Has a solid background in community organizing and development and influencing the government

5. JOB TITLE: CHILD PROTECTION IN EMERGENCIES SPECIALIST

Program/Department: Integrated and Inclusive Conflict-Sensitive Protection and Education for Children in Mindanao (iCOPE)

Duration: 18 months
Location: Iligan City, Lanao del Norte
Application Deadline: March 27, 2018 

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support to field staff in conducting assessments on community-based child protection and psychosocial issues.
  2. Design and deliver training on community-based psychosocial support for child protection staff.
  3. Design and develop appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems for Psychosocial support interventions.
  4. Provide technical input in the design of an internal system for the identification, reporting, referral, and follow-up of cases of vulnerable or at-risk children.
  5. Support the implementation of, and represent Plan in Child Protection in Emergencies/Gender-based violence coordination mechanisms and task forces.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or any related courses.
  2. Has a minimum of five years’ work experience in child protection, social work, community-mobilization or psychosocial support.
  3. Has a solid background in child protection in emergencies, community-based child protection, and referral mechanisms.
  4. Has experience in designing community-based child protection interventions for children in humanitarian settings.
  5. Applicants must have the right to work in the Philippines without restrictions. Local applicants are preferred.

6. JOB TITLE: PROJECT OFFICER

Program/Department: Integrated and Inclusive Conflict-Sensitive Protection and Education for Children in Mindanao (iCOPE)

Duration: 18 months
Location: Iligan City, Lanao del Norte

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct a community diagnosis with community leaders and members to identify the strengths and weakness.
  2. Actively participate in interagency municipal/barangay events.
  3. Conduct the project orientation to identified partners for a common understanding of project activities and secure their support and commitment.
  4. Conduct regular reporting and internal monitoring and submit necessary reports.
  5. Document the community projects, activities and processes.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Community Development or any related courses.
  2. Has a minimum of three years’ work experience in community organizing and development with disaster risk reduction programs/projects.
  3. Experience in humanitarian response is an advantage.

7. JOB TITLE: GRANTS AND FINANCE MONITORING COORDINATOR

Location: Makati City (with extensive travel to project areas)​​​​​​​

  1. Monitor small grants awarded to the project’s sub-grantees
  2. Provide capacity bulding on grants management
  3. Develop an Innovation Small Grants Manual

  1. University degree in finance, accounting, social sciences or statistics. Advanced degree is an advantage.
