Children's Festival

The Child Rights Network (CRN), a group of more than 20 child-focused organizations advocating child rights-based legislation and is convened by Plan International Philippines, will conduct a Children's Festival, with the theme "Boto Para sa Bata: Karapatan at Kalinga, Pangalagaan," on Saturday, November 28, to highlight the urgency of its priority agenda.

For this Congress, the agenda are bills on: promotion of positive and non-violent discipline of children, child protection in emergencies, and protection of children in situations of armed conflict.

This year, CRN will maximize the celebration of Children’s Month (November) as a venue to launch an electoral and voters’ education campaign, in anticipation of the 2016 national elections. CRN will highlight the need for candidates to prioritize the issues of children in their platform.
