Colin Rogers has been responding to humanitarian crises for 22 years and is currently Head of Disaster Preparedness and Response at Plan International’s headquarters.
Rogers has led emergency operations for a number of humanitarian agencies. He has worked on rapid onset disasters such as the Asian Tsunami and the Gujarat Earthquake, conflicts in Syria and Afghanistan and a number of disease outbreaks. He has worked across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
In his current role, Rogers provides leadership for Plan International’s emergency operations.
Rogers has a Masters in Applied Parasitology & Medical Entomology from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine as well as a Masters in Post-war Recovery Studies from the University of York. He also currently serves as a Board member for the SPHERE Project*.
