Vacation Camps were held on 11, 13 and 15 of July at the Santa Ana School (Bañado Sur) in RI 14 (Bañado Tacumbú) and San Cayetano School (Bañado Sur). In addition, there was a week of vacation camps from 18 to 22 of July at the Capitan Marcial Ramirez School, in Carmelo Peralta, Alto Paraguay (Paraguayan Chaco).
These recreational activities promote education through art, sensitising children on key messages and safe consumption patterns, personal hygiene and protection of the environment and water. The aim is to contribute to the strengthening of a disaster resilient community, taking as allies to children and adolescents.
These events are part of the Chake OU project, implemented by Plan International with COOPI (Cooperazione Internazionale) and funded by the the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO)
