Plan International is looking for Procurement Officer to play a vital role in our mission to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of deprived children in developing countries.
Working with the team, the post holder responsible receives requisitions, collects quotes and routes them to the Logistics Coordinator to prepare purchase orders and monitor/ follows up on the delivery of the goods/services. He/she pro-actively informs requestors about the status of their requests and prepares regular (weekly) reports about requisitions processed and outstanding. The Procurement Officer closely working with the Emergency Logistics Coordinator and other program staff Works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to Plan’s core values and humanitarian principles.
To be successful, you need to have
- Diploma in Purchasing and SuppliesManagement or Bachelor degree/ in Business Administration/logistics Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience for diploma holders and 3 years relevant experience for BA and relevant work experience in INGO environment, involving in the procurement of both emergency and development programs and Substantial experience in procurement.
