Position: Government Liaison Officer Sittwe
Assignment Type: 6 months contract with possibility of renewal

The Government Liaison Officer is the direct link between Plan International Myanmar HPU Sittwe and government bodies of Rakhine. The position a comprised also all communications with officials and cultural authorities and bodies.
It is also a protocol role for plan International Sittwe and the position holder will also serve as security advisor at HPU level.
The Government Liaison Officer support the HPUM/Head of Office and facilitate inter action with Government and local authorities of Plan International Sittwe to pursuit comprehensively on-going projects and to be able to launch new projects in Rakhine State.
He serves as primary direct contact – under supervision of the head of Office - for Plan International Sittwe to all government bodies with regards to Plan interventions in Rakhine state.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Citizen of Myanmar
Academic degree in social studies – law, political sciences, philosophy and or similar…
Minimum 4 years’ experience or proven good knowledge humanitarian interventions/programmes
Good knowledge and understanding of government settings/functionnement and specifically Rakhine state.
Proven skills in negotiation and public relation management.
Good communication skills and diplomatic approach
Acceptable/working knowledge of Computer – Word/excel mainly.
Excellent English language skills, both oral and written
