#GIRLSVOICES: A day in the life of a wedding buster
Radha gives us a glimpse of her daily life in Bangladesh.
Usually Radha wakes up at around 7 in the morning. When she gets up she performs a number of household chores such as sweeping the yard, cleaning the dishes, feeding the animals and cooking for her family.
Radha’s college is about 4 kilometres from her home. She gets to college by using local transport and walking.
Radha is a firm believer in the importance of girls’ receiving a good education. Here she is helping her niece with her homework.
Radha’s family does not always have access to electricity. She uses a kerosene lamp to make sure she can complete her study.
Radha enjoys spending time with her family. Particularly fun is telling stories to her younger family members.
