Position: Finance Officer (Mrauk Oo)
Assignment Type: From the start date up to 31st July, 2017.

Job Background: Plan International is seeking a Finance Officer is based in the Program Unit Office at Mrauk Oo to provide support with the PU Finance Manager in managing and administering the financial activity and function in the field level. He/she is responsible in managing the day to day financial transaction according to the defined finance and administrative policy and procedure to ensure smooth operations in the program unit office and any action needed is taken in timely manner.

Job Purpose: Verify and ensure all payment requests have the necessary documentation and approvals before processing the payment to maintain and update financial data and others financial documents and to maintain and monitor cash and bank balances on regular basis. Provides financial management information including reports to PMs and providing advice in ensuring financial procedures and systems are followed.  Responsible for timely cash disbursement of project expenses. Prepare a consolidated financial monthly report and sent to PU Finance Manager for approval  Assist in the planning, organization and execution of the statutory requirements and audit process for the office in coordination with the Finance Manager  Sometime directly pay to Suppliers and contractors. To participate monthly evaluation meeting with all staffs.  Monthly and quarterly discuss and coordinate with Programme staffs about expenses and budget balances.  To assist FM and PM as their request.  To effectively participate in meeting and survey before project Proposals.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  Citizen of Myanmar  University degree in relevant field preferably B.Com or post graduate study of LCCI level  Good command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point)  Minimum 3 years of proven experience in accounting/bookkeeping and administration management  Knowledge and understanding humanitarian operating context  Ability to maintain high level of accuracy in preparing financial reports  Knowledge of managing cash/bank accounts  Good English language skills, both oral and written  Able to travel if needed and able to work independently and seek help when necessary  Willingness to travel to remote and conflict affected area.
