Within the Plan International EU Office Ischi is responsible for the office’s communications and campaigning efforts in the EU space. As part of the influencing team, she and her advocacy colleagues see how to bring girls’ voices to the EU Institutions to advance girls’ rights and gender equality in EU external action policy. When it comes to the Girls’ Rights Gazette, Plan International EU Office’s external newsletter, she is the one liaising with Plan International experts and high-level EU decision makers to highlight their views and efforts to advance children’s rights and equality for girls. In collaboration with her colleagues in the Partnership team she shares the impact of our EU funded programmes. She is also responsible for the roll-out of Plan International’s Global Campaign ‘Girls Get Equal’ at EU level and monitoring the office’s contribution to the overall federation’s ambition to reach 100 million girls worldwide.
Prior to her role at Plan International, Ischi has worked at SOLIDAR and the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS). She holds a Master's degree in EU-Studies from Leiden University and a Bachelor's in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology from Utrecht University.
