Richard Goedegebuur is responsible for supporting the Plan International EU office with the funding strategy related to civil protection and humanitarian aid. He supports the EU Partnership department by identifying and documenting funding opportunities provided by ECHO and communicating this information to Plan International’s offices around Europe. He is also responsible for maintaining an updated database of ECHO funding opportunities while finding ways to optimise the effectivity of Plan International’s European offices when it comes to obtaining funding from ECHO in particular.
Richard holds a BSc degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Tilburg University, an MA degree in International Relations from the University of Birmingham and a second MA degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Lund University. He has been actively involved in civil society organisations around Europe and most recently completed an internship at the Dutch mission to the UN in Geneva, where he supported the human rights department.
