Charlotte joined Plan International in March 2021 as Personal Assistant to the Head of Office. Her role is to support the Head of Office in her functioning, including communications, coordination of relations and support of the efficient running of the office.
Charlotte has a strong interest in intersectional feminism, postcolonialism, youth participation, human rights, and sustainability. She holds a Bachelor´s degree in International Relations and International Organisation from the University of Groningen, in the Netherlands. For her Bachelor´s thesis, she researched gender empowerment in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals.
During her studies, she volunteered as a human rights guest lecturer at schools for Amnesty International. Amongst her previous work experience, she interned in a gender and development organisation in The Hague, advocating for female leadership in politics. She plans to continue her studies in the form of a Master´s degree in gender and postcolonial studies.
