ECCD Outreach Worker Taungup

Position: ECCD Outreach Worker
Number of positions required: 3 positions
Assignment Type: One year fixed term

Job background: Plan International will be implementing at ECCD project in Taungup Township, Rakhine State. The Outreach workers are to assist Program Unit ECCD officer in implementing effective and successful project activities. The project will focus on improving parenting practice to support holistic child development and organizing age appropriate playgroup activities. This position is based full-time in Taungup Township with extensive field travel.

Job purpose: The ECCD outreach worker will organize to conduct the Village Committee meetings and regular interaction with children, Village Development Committee members, and Volunteers. Assist in advocacy and mobilization in both village and township level authorities. Organize meetings and events such as ECCD working group meeting and CRC Day. Assist in Parenting Education activities, the community based ECCD centers, Transition activity in the targeted 25 villages • Ensure that the program takes steps to counter discrimination against gender equality in program operation. Activity progress reporting to the PU ECCD Officer

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Citizen of Myanmar • High school graduates • Previous professional working experience in development or relevant field. Extensive experience assessing, building capacity, monitoring and cooperating with local NGOs • Good knowledge of community development in Myanmar • Experience in community mobilization and trainings. Team working ability and good communication skills. Ability to drive motorbike and a valid drivers license is preferable.
