Meet Plan International Global Youth Advisory Panel (GYAP) alumni Agung, aged 20, from Indonesia.
What are you passionate about?
My passion is always about raising and accommodating youth's aspiration, so we can fulfil our rights as human beings and also as citizens. I believe that youth are a resource to build their nation and society.
I strive to support young people to be more helpful to themselves and others. One of the ways I realise this is by giving young people more opportunity to participate meaningfully in Plan International’s work.
I am currently completing my masters degree.
What do you enjoy about working with GYAP?
I enjoy working with GYAP because I can learn more about how young people can participate and contribute as a group or team. I am delighted to represent young people and work towards ensuring that young people work together with adults.
Why is GYAP important?
Plan International's global strategy is very important to concretise and break down an abstract vision. It supports the manifestation of youth engagement. As a group we have helped to develop the strategy and are now helping to implement it - the global strategy remains our focus of work.
