Admin & Procurement Officer

Plan International Myanmar is an international humanitarian, child-centred development organization, implementing programmes that promote the realization and fulfillment of children’s rights and the alleviation of child poverty.

Plan International Myanmar is seeking an Admin & Procurement Officer to support its Humanitarian Field Office in Sittwe. The position is based in Sittwe, Rakhine State and will require frequent travel to the project areas.

Position: Admin & Procurement Officer
Reports to: Humanitarian Program Unit Manager
Assignment Duration: 6 Months with possibility of renewal

Job Purpose: The Admin and Procurement Officer will work with program managers to develop, maintain and execute comprehensive procurement planning, logistical arrangements and administrative filing as it pertains to procurement and logistics.

Procurement and Supply Management: With the support of the logistics coordinator/ logistic in Yangon, will perform market research, collect quotes, draft tenders and contracts and liaise specialist with contractors to ensure contracts are developed in accordance with Plan's internal policies and within a timely manner

Asset and Inventory Management: He/She will also be responsible for maintain accurate files on all contracts including tender documents, payments and quotes for each item procured. Also responsible for keeping up to date records of stock on hand. Responsible for keeping track of fixed assets and inventory record and providing this information upon request to supervisor.

Logistics and Transportation: He/She will be responsible for day to day logistical arrangements involving transportation of goods, booking of travel and accommodation for field missions.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
 Citizen of Myanmar  University degree in relevant field  Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in logistics, procurement, operational support to development or private sector projects.
 Experience working and collaborating with diverse sets of stakeholders including local partners and sector working group.  Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team or independently, and meet deadlines consistently.  Understanding of children’s rights and gender equality.  Good command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point).  Good English and Myanmar language is an advantage.  Willingness to travel to remote and conflict affected area.
